Although many people are not aware there has been a documented black presence in the UK for many centuries. Modern history teaches us that mass immigration from the West Indies and Asia took place during the Windrush era, starting approximately around the 1950s. This fact has, however, been disproven by many researchers and academics interested in Black British History.
The truth is there has been a steady Black presence here in the UK going back over many centuries and even our own folklore emphasises this. Archaeological finds have also proven that there is more to this history than meets the eye.
